Dwelling Place
January 9-10, 2026
In January of 2020…
we had our first-ever adult retreat, Dwelling Place, for college students and young adults who have served with us in the past. Since then, we have held a winter retreat for adult registrants and alumni of ARISE to grow as His children— together. Join us for a fruitful, intimate time of sharing, wrestling, and persevering together in what it means to be children of God.
We are so excited to see you there.

Guest Speaker:
Pastor Won Jae Hudson Yu
A true New Jerseyan at heart, Won Jae “Hudson” Yu carries that hometown pride everywhere he goes. A passionate Yankees, Giants, and Knicks fan, he’s been known to joke that he might have traded his four kids for Derek Jeter—on a good day. If you ever need to cheer him up, just take him to a buffet and call him “Hudson.” Beneath the humor is a pastor with a deep love for people and a passion for global missions, raising future leaders, and creating spaces where communities can encounter the joy of God’s kingdom. He has been married to his wife, Lisa, since 1999, and together they have four wonderful children who fill their home with laughter and life.
WJY is a proud alumnus of Boston College, where he studied Philosophy and Economics, and he later received his M.Div. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and his Th.M. from Princeton Theological Seminary. He is currently completing his Doctor of Ministry at Talbot School of Theology, focusing on church growth and renewal. With more than twenty-five years of ministry experience, Hudson brings together theological depth, pastoral warmth, and a contagious joy as he preaches, teaches, and helps shape healthy, missional communities both locally and globally.
